COO Responsibility
Special machine construction
Revenue $60 million p.a.

Management of the change process in special machine construction from rigidly interlinked, machining production facilities for processing engine blocks and cylinder heads to flexible production facilities with robot-assisted interlinking of standardized machining centers.

The aim of the transformation was to convert the conventional plant technology (special-purpose machines) favored up to that point for the mass production (up to 1,000 blocks in 3 shifts) of engine blocks and cylinder heads, in all dimensions of design, manufacture, delivery, setup, and ramp-up, to easily convertible, standardized 5-axis milling centers (modular system machines). The biggest challenge here was to convert all process steps in the value chain from single-order production to small-batch modular production. This required a fundamental change in the development and manufacturing processes

CTO Responsibility
Heavy machinery manufacturing
Revenue $350 million p.a.

Relocation of the entire value chain (design, purchasing, production, commissioning) for heavy production machinery from Europe to Asia.

From a technological and logistical perspective, the development and production of this type of equipment in Europe, followed by delivery to Asia, results in prices that are not in line with the market for the Asian economic area. Management of the technological relocation process, for so-called product sovereignty. Ensuring a smooth start to the first intra-Asian customer orders in the technical organization. Ensuring the technological quality of the systems delivered from Asia.

CTO Responsibility
Plant Engineering E-Mobility Production Technology
Revenue 230 million p.a.

Responsible management of the technology for a large-scale project to establish the production of innovative electrical steel sheets, rotor and stator stacks with integrated stack baking in Central Europe.

Fully automatic operation from the coil with integrated press destacking. Subsequent robot-controlled stack sorting, stacking, and baking in production furnaces. Cooling, calibration, and measurement technology, including packaging. Processing of thin-walled sheets for high-performance next-generation automotive electric machines using powerful, multi-track tools for punching electrical sheets.

CRO Responsibility
Production company
Electric motors and transmission technology
Revenue $32 million p.a.

Management of the transformation process of a series supplier of small, powerful motor sizes and transmission components into a system supplier for mechatronic actuation systems in the rail and commercial vehicle industry. Technical preparation of the subsequent M&A process with a corporation.

Establishment of the necessary engineering structures and production processes. Change in the working methods of the workforce and establishment of a KPI cockpit. Changes in purchasing and contract design for the new project business.
Preparation of the technical structures for takeover by a corporation.

COO Responsibility
Engine assembly
Production plant
Turnover 60 million p.a.

Construction of a production plant for engine blocks in the Arab region. Management of the major contract from design, manufacture, and plant planning to implementation on site at
at the largest automotive plant in the Middle East.

Due to the relevance of the order for the contractor in terms of turnover, takeover of the plant construction of the production technology on site at the largest automobile plant in the Middle East in Iran. Creation of the economic and financial conditions for the delivery and installation
of the plants in a sanctioned economic area. Contract negotiations and claim management due to difficult political conditions and associated technical difficulties in the construction of the plant.

CTO Responsibility
Restructuring
Plant closure
Revenue 250 million p.a.

Restructuring of technical departments in connection with plant closures and direct reduction of technical personnel in the value chain. Negotiating and dealing with collective bargaining partners and unions. Working with rescue companies.

Consolidation of product lines from various plants at a central divisional location due to previous plant closures and strategic restructuring within the group. Determination of reduction structures and personnel to be laid off. Direct responsibility for the smooth implementation of personnel reductions in the engineering structures of a division. Continuation of order structures under changed target parameters and new strategic goals.
